But I tell you what, it does work. It works very well, especially on cotton pants like dockers or cargo pants. I can get a full 2 sized on those types of garments. Just be sure to wet the waistband before use. That is key to success. What I do is the night before I am going to wear recently washed pants is I dip the waistband in the sink, activate the stretcher, and in the morning I am good to go. The pants are dry and roomy.
